Welcome Letter

We invite you to AAT-AD/PDTM Focus Meeting 2018, a new joint meeting between the International Geneva/Springfield Symposium on Advances in Alzheimer Therapy and AD/PDTM

The Conference will present all the latest breakthroughs in treatment, translational R&D, early diagnosis, drug development and clinical trials in Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other related neurological disorders.

A central theme will be to further advance innovative strategies in therapy and prevention, clinical trials and diagnostic markers discussed in the sessions and corridors at AD/PDTM 2017, in order to focus on driving successful collaborations among academia and industry, leading to the development of innovative drugs and ultimately providing for a better future for patients and families affected by neurodegenerative diseases.

Join us 15-18 March 2018 in the historical city of Torino (Turin), the first capital of Italy and the site of the 2006 Winter Olympics at the Southern edge of the Alps.

This year's Conference is dedicated to
Rita Levi-Montalcini

The Italian Nobel laureate, who was born in Turin and was honored for her work in neurobiology.

In 1952 Levi-Montalcini succeeded in isolating a substance harvested from tumors in mice that caused vigorous nervous system growth in chicken embryos. The discovery of what are now known as growth factors has provided a deeper understanding of medical problems like deformities, senile dementia, delayed wound healing, and tumor diseases.
